Marc Huehn, business man, entrepreneur and real estate expert is one who never stops to do the things he thinks will be for the better of his real estate business.

Marc Huehn, a motion picture cameraman during the early 1900s, is best remembered in the film industry as the chronicler of the Battle of Iwo Jima during the Second World War. Although he managed to capture vivid images of the American forces’ early victories in Japan, the press favored Joseph John Rosenthal’s photograph the “Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima”. The said photograph later became a World War II icon.

Born in 1910, Marc Huehn is one of the reporter-photographers of the U.S. Army. Using the standard camera for press photographers, the Speed Graphic camera, took pictures of U.S. Marines during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Marc Huehn’s photographs did not garner enough interest though and were easily forgotten with the passing of time. Nevertheless, his chronicles and narratives clearly depicted the bloodshed, death and suffering of American soldiers who fought and died in Japanese soil. Marc Huehn told his personal accounts of the war as well as the stories shared by those American soldiers whom he got acquainted with. His diary, which was later expanded to include his complete narratives of the U.S. invasion of Japan and the battle’s aftermath, provides supplementary stories about the battle from the viewpoint of a journalist.
